Career and Technical Education

CTE Mission:

To provide students enrolled in Career and Technical education programs with education and training of sufficient excellence to enable them upon graduation to enter the job market with well-developed skills varied intellectual interests and sufficient understanding and curiorsity to continue their growth and maturation as family members, workers and citizens in the community.

Why CTE?

At Temple High School, Career and Technical Education (CTE) gives high school students the chance to get a head start on preparing for college and in-demand certifications for jobs in Bell County and throughout the country.  In CTE programs you will learn how core school subjects are used in real-life.  As a CTE student you have the opportunity to participate in hands-on training in your chosen program and gain real world experience through job shadows and internships. Career and Technical Education programs enable students to gain entry-level employment in a high-skill, high-wage job and/or to continue their education. Many of the programs offered at Temple High School provide students with the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications and licensures that prepare them to begin working at entry-level and above positions. Many students use the skills learned in CTE programs to attain positions that will allow them to finance their postsecondary education.
