Mr. Hernandez has been in education for 20 years. He is originally from Temple, TX and a graduate of Temple High School. He received a bachelors and masters in psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. He later returned to UMHB to complete his teaching certificate. After teaching in Georgetown ISD and working as an at-risk coordinator, Mr. Hernandez decided to return to school to become an administrator. He attended Sam Houston State University where he received an M.A. in education and administration. He has worked as an assistant principal at the middle and high school levels and as an associate principal at the high school level. He has worked in Georgetown, Bryan, Belton and Temple ISD.

When not at work Mr. Hernandez enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is an avid music lover and enjoys listening to and composing music. He also loves watching and attending sporting events, watching movies, and attending concerts.
