Advanced Placement

Advanced Placement courses allow students to participate in college level coursework and possibly earn college credit while still in high school by taking AP exams in May. Students are not only better prepared for college by taking these courses and sitting for the exam, but can also earn several hours of college credit by showing mastery of these courses on the exam. Colleges vary in AP scores accepted, but by the spring of their senior year, students should be aware of the expectations of their college of choice.
