Dr. Jason Mayo was born and raised in Killeen, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Science in History from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2002; his Masters in Educational Administration from Tarleton State University in 2005; and his Doctor of Education from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2013.
Dr. Mayo is in his fourteenth year in public education. His experiences include social studies teacher and coach in Killeen ISD, assistant principal for elementary, middle and high school in Belton ISD, and principal at Bonham Middle School in Temple ISD. In 2015, Dr. Mayo was selected as the principal of Temple High School. Dr. Mayo is also a member of the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP), the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO), and the Texas A&M-Central Texas University Principal Advisory Committee. Outside of his professional commitments he served on the Memorial Christian Academy School Board, Keep Temple Beautiful Committee and is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Dr. Mayo and his wife, Audrey, have been married for over 8 years and have two children, Jase (6) and Sydney (4).
