Ron Ford » Biography


Ron Ford has been in Temple ISD since 2006 and is currently the Head Boys Track & Field Coach. His 2014 Track & Field team was the 2014 District 8-5A Champions.  Coach Ford is a graduate of Gatesville High School where participated in football and track. In football, Coach Ford was a 1st Team All-District fullback, team captain and recipient of the Hornet Pride Award. In track, he was a member of the school's 4x100 Relay team that was runner-up at the State Meet and both District and Regional champions.

Coach Ford began his collegiate career at San Jacinto Jr. College where he achieved All-America status. Following San Jacinto, Coach Ford graduated from Tarleton State University where he received his Bachelors degree and later attended Grand Canyon University earning a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction.  Coach Ford has taught English at Travis Middle School where he has been awarded teacher of the month in March 2009 and February 2013. He is now a staff member at the high school were he teaches MAPS for freshman students.
