Math Department

Temple High School’s Mathematics department is composed of over 20 teachers with a combined total over 100 years of experience teaching mathematics, and about a third of them are THS alumni! We offer courses from Algebra 1 through AP Calculus, AP Statistics, and IB Math Studies. Many of our students who pursue the advanced course program here at Temple High School graduate in the top 10% or higher of their class and tend to earn many hours of college credit through successful completion of AP and IB courses and exams.

At THS, we provide an opportunity for students to join Mu Alpha Theta, which is a National Honor Society for students enrolled in high schools and junior colleges around the country. Also, our students have an opportunity to compete in UIL Academics, the American Mathematics League and Texas State Mathematics League competitions.
